Chapter 2‎ > ‎

### 2.8 Literal Equations & Dimensional Analysis

Standard(s):

• A.REI.B.3:  Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable, including equations with coefficients represented by letters.
• A.CED.A.4:   Rearrange formulas to highlight a quantity of interest, using the same reasoning as in solving equations. For example, rearrange Ohm's law V = IR to highlight resistance R.

Essential Questions:

• Can equations that appear to be different be equivalent?

Learning Targets:

• I can identify the parts of a literal equation. (Comprehend)
• I can identify the operations within a literal equation. (Comprehend)
• I can identify the inverse operation needed to solve a literal equation. (Comprehend)
